Club Ed

The Club Ed Afterschool Program will hold its inaugural Club Ed Student Art Gallery on Wednesday April 30, 2008 from 6-8pm at the Cliffside Park Public Library.  All 1st through 8th grade Club Ed students in Cliffside Park Schools 3, 4, 5 and 6 will have work on display, ranging from poetry and letters to drawings and photography.  The entire Cliffside Park community is invited to attend.  A small $5 per person ($3 for children under 8) suggested donation will go towards supporting the Club Ed program.  Refreshments will be served.

Club Ed will be holding an Art Gallery on April 30 from 6-8pm. All of the art will be made by Club Ed students to show off the chosen theme. We will be charging a $5 admission for adults and $3 for children and the money will be given to Club Ed for future programming. It is a great way to see the talents of so many Cliffside Park children and enjoy a little bit of the community.

What is Club Ed?

Club Ed is a comprehensive, safe and affordable afterschool program and a partnership among Jewish Family Service, New Jersey After 3, Inc., and the Cliffside Park School District.  Club Ed is licensed by the State of New Jersey and offered to all Cliffside Park students in grades 1 to 8.  Each day, students enjoy fun, educational activities in their own school that complement the school curriculum.  Students also receive daily homework assistance, test preparation and expert help from trained staff – including many of their own daytime teachers.

Eligibility
Club Ed is open to all Cliffside Park students in grades 1 through 8, but space is limited.

Location
Club Ed takes place at your child’s school so students do not have to travel.  Students are picked up by Club Ed staff directly from their daytime classrooms immediately after school and brought to the appropriate classroom.

Staff
Club Ed staff, many of whom are the same certified teachers the students have during the day, are specially trained and licensed by the State of New Jersey.  Club Ed staff members communicate daily with students’ daytime teachers to stay informed of your child’s academic and social needs.

Fees
A small annual registration fee of $75 is required.  This is equivalent to pennies a day and less than what most other afterschool providers charge.

Schedule
Club Ed operates from September through June until 5:45 pm after every full school day.  Club Ed does not operate on half days or vacation days.
