Dear Parents:

I hope you have heard about our PROJECT GRADUATION!  Well, we have reserved a facility for our June 2007 class which we know will be filled with fun and excitement for our graduating seniors.  The purpose of the celebration is to give the students one final fun-filled night together as a class without the dangers associated with graduation parties.  It will be a well supervised alcohol-free and drug-free night that virtually the entire class will participate in.  After the graduation ceremony and all the photo opportunities with friends and family, the students will be bused to a "secret" location where they will enjoy a memorable evening of food, fun, games, swimming, music and other surprises.  They will return to the school by bus between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m., tired but happy and safe.

We hope that this PROJECT GRADUATION will be as successful as last year's and our hope is to continue providing this important event for our future graduating classes.  THIS CAN ONLY BE ACCOMPLISHED WITH PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT.   We need parents to be involved with our advisory committee, fundraising and other planning activities.  WITHOUT YOUR INVOLVEMENT, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE FUTURE PROJECT GRADUATIONS FOR YOUR CHILDREN.

A PROJECT GRADUATION meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd in the high school cafeteria at 7pm for all 11th and 12th grade parents.  We are encouraging all parents of our eleventh grade students to attend so we can begin planning for June 2008.  We also welcome our senior parents who will be informed of this year's schedule and the additional funds necessary for this year's event.  Students who attend with their parents will receive 3 hours of community service.

A successful PROJECT GRADUATION can only be accomplished if we continue to work together and raise the funds necessary to host such an event.  The cost of an event of this magnitude is approximately $30,000 and as with everything else will increase each year.  Representatives from the Rebeka Verea Foundation, which spearheaded our 1st event and along with the CP Police and Firemen donated $12,000 to the 2006 senior class will be in attendance to discuss fundraising events and help with our future planning.

ONCE AGAIN: A meeting has been planned for Tuesday, April 3rd @7pm in the high school cafeteria.  All parents of students in grades 11 & 12 are urged to attend.
