Fall 2010 Schedule

Cross Country practice will begin over the summer.  The team will meet Monday through Friday beginning on July 15th. There will be two practice times so that it is suitable for everyone's schedule.  It is expected that you attend ONE of the practices a day.  Starting July 15th, practice will be at either 9:30 am or 5:30 pm.  This practice will consist of running to develop a good base, and lifting to gain strength.


Once school begins in September, practice will be every day after school at 2:55 pm in the gym lobby unless you are notified otherwise. We will usually be done with practice by 5:00 pm latest. Unless notified otherwise, there WILL be practice every sat. at 9:30 am. Attendance at all practices is MANDATORY. Accommodations can be made when there is a legitimate reason to be late or absent from practice. It is also imperative that athletes be on time for practice (that means in the lobby and ready by 2:55).


When we design a workout we take numerous factors into consideration including weather, running background of the athlete, time of season, proximity to competition etc… some practices will be easy, some very hard. We expect ALL of them to be run according to specification, meaning we want you to put forth the effort requested. i.e. don’t tell us you’re running as hard as you can if you’re not (we can tell).

Our race days are usually on Monday or Tuesday after school and Saturday mornings.  Monday and Tuesday meets are Dual meets between other schools in the league and Saturdays are invitationals against many schools.
